Having led the largest undergraduate debating society in the US, I learned to foster civil discourse and intellectual diversity on campus as the former President of the Yale Political Union. I have also promoted the values of free speech, open inquiry, and intellectual honesty among students and faculty as the Student Marketing Director of the William F. Buckley, Jr. Program. In addition, I have been managing classrooms and delivering lessons in various subjects as a Substitute Teacher at Newton County School System since January 2021. I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in History at Yale University, where I have developed strong research, writing, and analytical skills. I have also published an article on Yale Daily News, exploring my complex relationship with the South as a proud Southerner. My core competencies include critical thinking, communication, and public speaking. I am passionate about advancing the causes of democracy, education, and civic engagement.
