A life-changing place! This is how I describe CarmoCoffees and the nice moments I have witnessed here. This is was the first opportunity I had to work with management - and that brought a pack of experiences on people's behavior, administrative metrics, strategic planning and the great protagonist: COFFEE.I learned a lot about commodities export and its pecualirities such as phytosanitary documents, special packaging, warehousing and an incredibly trendy and cool international market with baristas, roasters and importers absolutely focused in a fair trade and sustainable operation.Among my duties, I hire international and national freights, negotiate with agents, courier, carriers, issue Sales Contracts, contact farmers and help them organize the best logistics to deliver coffeees, managed the Customs Clearance process, coordinate the follow up process and make sure my colleagues keep providing an excellent service based on our partners regular feedback.

This was a valuable learning period because differently from the other positions where I provided services to specific companies, at MTN I managed to handle with import and export processes and not only one single product but several goods, such as: bicycle parts, electric circuits, ovens, refrigerators, electronic modules and car wheels.I could learn a lot about different modes of transport and their specific procedures, documents, risks, prices and technical information as transit times, capacities, speed and weight limits.A general vision of International Trader and Supply Chain was acquired.

Right after I graduated and the trainee period was over, an opportunity arose in the company for someone who could speak English and the opportunity was given to me. By that time, I could English and Spanish fluently.It was possible to learn a lot since the position was directed towards an Export background. I had to provide this service to the Brazilian Iron Ore exporter - Usiminas (Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais S.A). I was part of a new team and totally different documents and procedures were under my responsability. Regarding the documents, one can mention: RE (Export Registering), Invoice, Packing List, Sales Order and 'SD' (IRS requirement). Constant contact with Brazilian Carriers, Courier, Airport and Port staff was part of my assignments. Always nice to talk and get to know multicultural environments.At this stage, the relationship with foreign people was fruitful, I made friends and practiced the speaking and listening skills in English.

This was my first contact with the International Trade labour market. It was amazing to relate to an united team and to handle with Aircraft Parts Operation - more specifically by providing services to the Brazilian Air Company - GOL Linhas Aéreas.At this stage, team work and documents issuing were the main subjects I had to deal with. The first aspect was quite good since I am in love with people and therefore we managed to become one of the most qualified team in the company. The second aspect - technical documents - has taught me how to complete an import in Brazil and most import how to issue the documents correctly and how to solve any incontigencies that may appear along the process with Brazilian IRS.The knowledge acquired has been really useful along the years.
