Main responsibilities:- Bridge and structure yearly inspection and reporting at Grand Central Terminal (GCT), Park Ave Tunnel (PAT), Park Ave Viaduct (PAV), Harlem River Lift (HRLB) and Hudson Line bridges, up to Mott Haven (MO) Yard.- Assist coordination with third party/consultant teams during the yearly GCT Trainshed inspection (management of operations, work schedules, track outage, flagman/escort personnel, communications with Transportation and Track Departments).- Assist coordination timely inspection of equipment (Hi-Rail) and its movements to and within GCT, communicating with MNR shops, Transportation, Track and Maintenance Departments.- Respond to bridge strike emergencies.

MTACC - East Side Access• Use best practice in providing on-site inspections on various systems, HVAC, tunnel ventilation, plumbing, security, fire alarm to support the Testing and Commissioning team to ensure the readiness for systems testing. • Establish, sustain, and monitor open item/punch list for deficiencies to be used during inspections and testing to monitor the contractor’s completion of milestones.• Participate in testing for installed systems• Manage field installation to ensure construction was performed as per approved shop drawings and specification. • Regulated installation of traction power equipment to provide power to the third rail.

TBTA MTA Bridges and Tunnels - Randall’s Island, NY• Used best practice in providing on-site inspection on concrete repair for one of the main access to Randall’s Island.• Coordinated field replacement and installation of bridge joints along with one of the main highways. • Mapped, calculated and delivered payment report for work performed.• Monitored proper maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) was performed.

Nassau County Department of Public Works• Provided on-site inspection on HMA material to be up to standards and specifications • Analyzed large areas for milling yield checks and payments for multiple roads • Pro-actively provided on-site concrete testing and concrete inspections for sidewalks, curbs, and ramps restoration work • Participated in drainage cleaning inspection for catch basins and pipes for multiple locations

Under the supervision of a Department of Transportation Engineer-in-Charge, a Transportation Construction Inspector I was assigned to one construction project, Kosciusko Bridge to perform the following construction or materials inspection or inspection-related tasks:-Earthwork Inspection: Inspects contractor's operations in building earth or rock embankments that serve as foundations for pavement; conducts gradation tests, compaction tests and moisture contact tests to ensure material is of correct size and is properly densified.-On-Site Concrete Inspection: Inspects contractor's operations in placement of concrete for pavements and for bridge piers and abutments; conducts air content tests, slump tests and obtains cylinders for subsequent load tests; inspects contractor's method of handling and placing concrete to minimize segregation, the finishing of the concrete, and the method of curing, inspects paving trains to ensure a smooth concrete pavement.-Asphalt Pavement Inspection: Inspects contractor's placement of asphalt pavement; ensures temperature for placement is correct, lift thickness is in conformance with specifications, and the asphalt is properly compacted.-Materials Inspection: Inspects production at a batch plant of Portland cement concrete or bituminous concrete; ensures that ingredients are from an approved source (i.e., stone, sand, asphalt or cement), that they are mixed in correct proportions for a specified time period; that automation features of the plan are working properly; maintains documentation of tests and delivery; performs materials test, quantity calculations and related activities in the Materials Unit.-Miscellaneous Inspection Assignments: Construction inspection assignments also included: inspection of curbing, sidewalk, signs, guide railing, pavement markings, landscape items, water, sanitary, traffic signals, maintenance and protection of traffic, highway lighting, fencing, crack sealing, joint filling.
