Reporting to the General Manager of Hydrocarbons, the NSW Manager has full P&L and operational responsibility for the two business units including budget preparation and capex planning and execution. The role is responsible for compliance and production outputs of the refinery as well as three streams of revenue growth; - generated from automotive workshop waste removal, rental of industrial parts cleaning equipment and the collection and refining of used lube oil via a fleet across multiple regional sites around NSW.

The Business Unit Manager – Oil, reported to the East Coast Regional Manager and was responsible for P&L and Operations of the NSW Oil division. This included budget and capex planning, the HSE management, compliance and production outputs of the refinery and the collection of used oil from multiple regional locations across NSW

This was a newly created role which reported to the BU General Manager. Responsibilities were to continue managing the NSW branch as well as the branches in Brisbane, Townsville, Melbourne and Perth. Each state’s Branch Manager became a direct report.I was promoted to Business Unit Manager, Oil when the Bituminous Products Business Unit was divested from Transpacific Industries Group

Bituminous Products is a bitumen blending and manufacturing business that manufactures products primarily for the road sealing and asphalt industry. It was purchased by Transpacific in 2007. The Operations Manager role reported to the BU General Manager and was responsible for ensuring manufacturing and distribution costs were to budget, for scheduling and planning routine maintenance, overseeing the compliance of the testing facility (NATA) and liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors to ensure the production aligns with their programs.
