As a Care Coordinator at Veterans Services of the Carolinas (VSC), I support veterans and their families by connecting them with resources and services that meet their needs. I use my communication and written skills to assess their situations, provide referrals, and follow up with them. I also have a certification in Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), a suicide prevention technique that helps me intervene and save lives.Before joining VSC, I served in the United States Marine Corps for six years, where I gained valuable experience in operational management and training. I supervised the planning and coordination of all training events for motor transport operations, ensuring the safety and quality of the vehicles and equipment. I was personally accountable for up to $3M worth of tactical vehicle equipment, and conducted monthly and quarterly inventories. I received multiple honors and awards for my leadership and performance, including the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with the "C" device for combat valor.Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from Southern New Hampshire University, with an expected graduation date of September 2026. I chose this field because I am passionate about helping others and making a positive difference in my community. My goal is to apply my skills and knowledge to improve the lives of veterans and their families, and to continue learning and growing as a professional.
