I am currently working at SCIEX as a Hardware Verification Specialist. I have earned a Masters of Instrumental Chemical Analysis at Trent University, and have studied at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (ONTechU) where I earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Forensic Science with distinction, with a specialization in forensic chemistry. I was also fortunate to complete an undergraduate thesis project, where I investigated changes in surface characteristics of degrading bloodstains using optical profilometry. In my studies, I have learned how to work with various analytical instruments, including GC-MS, HPLC-UV, & FT-IR, how to maintain and repair these instruments, and how these techniques can be used in the field of forensic science. I am also familiar with QA/QC procedures and the importance of following SOPs in a laboratory setting. Overall, I am a professional individual who understands the importance of teamwork, selflessness, and integrity. I am goal-oriented and will use my time-management and organizational skills to achieve what I have set out to do. As a hardworking, dedicated philomath, I am always looking for new opportunities that allow me to learn more about my field of study, including laboratory and research experience.
