I am a third year student in the Media School, majoring in Fashion Media. I have a passion for providing for the community, creating a creative environment, and thinking critically about situations. I've demonstrated these skills in multiple positions, beginning in high school when I got my first job, began playing sports, and continued my membership in the AVID organization. Now as a junior, I continue to do more for the community and be creative through my involvement in multiple organizations such as Mu Beta Lambda Business Fraternity, Inc. College Mentors for Kids, Inc., Black Men Evolve, and Future Black Leaders, Inc. I hope to pursue an internship in in media or fashion where I can continue to develop my strengths in communication, leadership, and integrity. My ideal work environment will allow me to give back to the community, create a welcoming environment, and use my critical thinking skills to solve problems.Now at Indiana University, I try my best to get involved with organizations where I can give back to the community and create a positive environment. Aside from being a part of Future Black Leaders, Inc., I'm opening myself up to more options because I don't want to be relegated to just one thing. I enjoy being a part of organizations whose goals are to inspire and provide for the community, especially minorities in a community. Organizations like Future Black Leaders, Inc. and Black Men Evolve live to inspire the minority which is something I really appreciate. I use my past experience with organizations and volunteer experience to further my role in organizations here at IU.By my senior year I hope to have myself established within multiple organizations. To continue developing my strengths of communication, leadership, and integrity, I look forward to engaging in different aspects of fashion and their portrayal in the media. Down the road I see myself pursuing a career as an entrepreneur or business manager for a big company. I could also see my self work for a fashion or advertisement company. I want to have a career where I'll provide something for the community and give back in more ways than one.
