I have served the business community in Jackson since 1998. I graduated from Spring Arbor University and began working for Adams Outdoor Advertising where I spent nine years in sales and in sales management. Since 2007, I have been at the Walton Insurance Group where my focus has been serving the insurance needs of the business community. My commitment to the Jackson community has been evident and consistent by my participation with the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Jackson, disAbility Connections, da Vinci Institute, coaching kids sports and teaching JA to Parkside 6th graders. I work with companies that want to reduce their long term benefits cost, improve employee retention and attract a higher caliber of employee. We do this by working with wellness vendors, conducting semi-annual employee surveys, offering additional products that employees want at no cost to the company and lowering their five year forecast for benefit costs.For example, I recently worked with a local company who wasn’t looking to change agents. With them I put together a strategy to lower their costs by 10%, reduce the employees deductibles from $2000/$4000 to $0 and initiate higher contributions for employees unwilling to have a physical and answer some health questions.
