Consults with large and mid-size contractors throughout North America to elevate project execution capabilities and implement comprehensive operational improvement programs. Areas of focus include pre-job planning, procurement and contracting, establishing baseline project controls, short-interval planning, cost forecasting, closeout and lessons learned.

Co-founded formation of FMI’s project recovery consulting practice. Facilitated partnering process for multiple $1B+ federal and public works projects to resolve outstanding issues, align expectations, define success metrics, and develop viable paths forward. Featured instructor in FMI’s Project Manager Academy. Topics of instruction include project planning and startup, cash flow management, customer satisfaction, and contract/change order administration.

Successfully executed the completion of two severely distressed, mission critical brigade HQ projects (Ft. Stewart & Ft. Campbell) with a combined contract value of more than $35MM.Oversaw all aspects of design and construction for a new air traffic control tower (Vance AFB). Resolved several outstanding claims and disputes by leveraging knowledge of FARS, UFC, UFGS regulations Spearheaded a rigorous design process, and led a concerted effort among the customer, end users, design team, and subcontractors to ensure the project satisfied all required performance criteria.

Assumed responsibility for all aspects of design and construction for multiple, concurrent projects; major projects included aircraft hangars and a squadron operations & life support facility.Mitigated substantial losses on troubled projects which previously experienced material changes due to differing site conditions and programming modifications. Navigated multiple federal agencies to re-establish scope, schedule and budget expectations.

Project management responsibilities for all structural and exterior envelope scopes of work for a 17-story structure comprising over 700 parking spaces, 250 condominium hotel rooms, and 18 private residences (Hyatt Aqualea Resort and Residences - $110M GMP). Administered comprehensive change management process throughout construction; project incurred inordinate, cost-impacting design changes resulting from over 4,000 revised drawings and 1,500 RFI’s. Secured, complex cost substantiation from subcontractors and negotiated over $5M in change orders with a resistant and scrutinizing client. Project management responsibilities for all structural, exterior envelope, and landscape/hardscape scopes of work for a 245 unit luxury condominium project (The Place at Channelside - $80M GMP). Acted as liaison to insurance providers and adjusters for multiple large claims arising from water damage and theft.

Began construction career at this Cincinnati-based general contractor. Rapidly advanced and given field management responsibilities for multiple fast-paced projects including Kroger grocery stores, industrial facilities (Zumbiel Packaging) , and an outpatient surgery center (St. Elizabeth Medical Center).
