I have chosen to stay at home with my children for a while. While not working outside of the home I have volunteered and worked with a school.

As a manager for Apple my main focus was on Talent Development for 12-15 direct reports. As a People Leader I supported our store with reaching hiring and staffing goals, with successfully staffing the store to 105% for the first time in 5 years. I supported the Market (Portland/Idaho) in a rapid hiring event, as well as worked directly with the Market recruiting team to construct an out of market transfer process to implement across all four stores. I am passionate about supporting people through out the entire hiring and onboarding process. As a General Manager with Best Buy Mobile I have had the opportunity to launch a new store concept in the Pacific Northwest. As part of the Grand Opening process I was responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training a new staff of both part-time line level associates, as well as assistant managers. As part of the training process I used a combination of company created and self developed training material, as well as training grids to follow up and evaluate training effectiveness. Throughout my career at Best Buy, I have held different positions in management, directly managing up to 110 associates at a time. My passion in this job is in training and developing associates. I helped create a New Employee Training program, with a focus on a very structured follow up program and partnering new associates with more experienced ones, effectively reducing store turnover by 14%.

As an Indirect Account Executive I was responsible for maintaining relationships with national retailers representing Sprint products and services. I trained retail partners on new products and services. The position required a focus on territory and time management as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people.
