I have been a nanny for two little girls ages 6 and 3 for almost three years now. I have always loved children, and am blessed to be working for this family. I work 10-15 hours a week, depending on when the family needs me. When I watch these girls we like to play american girl dolls, fairies, board games, and just dance on the xbox. The girls are very artistic and love to do crafting activities. Every Friday I am responsible for taking the youngest child to her ballet class. This job is more than a job. I have grown very close to these girls and their parents. I have gone on vacation with them multiple times and I consider them family.

The responsibilities I have as a preschool nursery staff include watching children ages birth-5 year olds while their parents are involved in church activities. During my time with the children, I am responsible for giving them a snack. Sometimes this is complicated as I have to make sure each child is not allergic to anything, and if there are, which snack is appropriate for the class. After snack time, the children are allowed to play in the room. Each room is equipped with toys for each developmental stage. The children really enjoy playing on the playground, going for stroller rides, and going to story time. If the children are still in diapers, I am responsible for changing each child's diaper before their parents pick them up. This job is very unique in the fact that I can watch these children grow from a newborn to staring kindergarten, and watch their personalities develop differently at each developmental stage.
