I quickly moved into investment property and worked with developers and investors to find, buy, and often flip real estate in and around Boston.A whiff of froth was in the air as the frenzy peaked heading into 2007 and in a stroke of perhaps luck or perhaps clairvoyance I turned my attention to distressed assets and became a commercial real estate auctioneer.Nobody as deep in real estate as I was came out of that period unscathed. But I was fortunate to be on the frontline when the distressed sales started. I've been involved in the sale of hundreds of commercial and investment properties and paper including whole office parks, shopping malls, multifamilies, hotels, gas stations, and many more.During that time I discovered how to know which banks and credit unions had distressed assets to sell and who to talk to about it. I created BankProspector and built the site DistressedPro.com. I grew that business for nearly 13 years and it gave me the opportunity to achieve financial freedom.
