In pursuing my final year of a science degree of Biotechnology, I am passionate about applying nature based solutions for many global issues, diseases and climate related concerns that have come about from the maladaptive use of the Earth's land and water (or resources). I value a multidisciplinary approach to science as each has a role to play in the discernment, assesment and predictions The cause of Earths current extinction is however, preventable especially if the effects and analytical comprehension of these environmental factors are utlised as our only hope for identifying and replacing the harmful/wasteful/unsustainable processes in issues such as deforestation, over-aggresive agriculture or mining. I wish to put forth my budding skills in data mapping (GIS) and progamming, microbiology and ecology to simplify or re-engineer all the things we require to live; energy + food production, waste recycling and sufficient water ways + green space.I believe a strong team needs dedicated and intellgent individuals but this also necessitates healthy, two way communication between all members. In striving for this collaboritave open communication framework, I will bring into any workplace my civility and enthusiasm to understand all viewpoints, putting equal weight in attention to every member of the team. Whilst particularly enjoying intellectual aspirations on my own, I am a fast learner when it comes to hearing others, who's constructive feedback I crave, thriving in group action discussions.Personally I am invested in the cognizance of local, elegantly simple and sustainable solutions to all the problems that rapid urbanisation has on humankind and also on the terrain, ecosytems or biospheres that compose and maintain the planet. With a prior three years bartending or waitering experienced in a fast paced, professional customer service role at a restaurant and gaming venue. Developed many technical skills such as; prioritising of tasks to ensure speed and efficiency for cocktails, managing a high flow rate of customers and directing other staff members to appropriate tasks whilst providing a collaborative team providing consistent service experience. Additionally, skills I have gained and am seeking new industry roles to develop further are: Networking and forming lasting impressions both within my employers and with professional/consumer persons, navigating and resolving conflicts in a calm and decisive manner while also advocating for a sense of employee care and workplace safety by investigating, implementing and refining new processes
