I have a strong passion for sports as a player and administrator. Managing major events is an aspect of sport and recreation management I am really interested in.During my time studying, I undertook industry placement with the Box Hill Hawks Football Club where I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a match day assistant. Through Box Hill Institute, I was given the opportunity to be apart of The Global Exchange Network Program where I travelled to Calgary, Alberta and I worked within the Athletics and Recreation department of SAIT. It was an outstanding experience and gave me great insight into the industry on an international scale. From 2017 to mid 2019, I was on the frontline of events working within the Athlete Services department for Fairfax Events & Entertainment (formally SME360). My time there truly cemented my love for events as well as highlighting that a good culture & team environment will make even the most tedious of tasks an absolute dream.Through strong networking and industry connections, I moved from FE&E to Register Now where I headed up the Customer Success team. This not only kept my finger on the pulse of events, it expanded my knowledge in the tech space. Following the unstable environment for events in 2020, an opportunity presented itself to move across to Richmond Institute where I could underpin my love of events with the stability of education. I thoroughly enjoyed my time shaping the professional development of the next generation of industry leaders. The passion for events was always there and 2022 saw a change internally at Richmond Football Club to join the Events & Programs team.
