I have been working since I was ten years old. My first job branched from baby sitting to house and pet sitting, walking dogs, then restaurant work (approx. between the years of 2003-2017). During that time, I went through a Youth Leadership program put on by a now closed organization that was known as SEABHS (South Eastern Arizona Behavioral Health Services). The Youth Advocates taught me about public speaking, presentations, Action and Strategic Planning, Networking skills, etc.. I used it as my base platform for all of my jobs in the future. During my Restaurant years (around 2007-2017) I climbed the ranks from a prep cook helping on slow days, to being a busser, to a busser trainer, to a waitress and then to the busser manager. It taught me a lot about team building and having a strong work ethic in high stress environments, as well as positively influencing and training others to have similar ethics. House sitting, I learned about different methods and styles of animal training (some professional, most not), and how to handle high maintenance animals; diabetic pets who needed shots and learning how to give injections, arthritic animals, different feeding habits for problematic systems, some who had regular seizures, some undergoing chemo for cancer and training some to make uncomfortable situations a better one through positive reinforcement and TLC.
