At UMKC, the majority of my classes have had an environmental focus, while the others focused on Spanish. My time at UMKC has only continued to nurture my desire to improve our world’s current environment. I will be graduating in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, a minor in Spanish, and a GIS certificate.During my time at UMKC, I have had opportunities to travel abroad. In the summer of 2024, I spent six weeks in Argentina studying their culture and Spanish. This fall, I traveled to Chile for two weeks, which allowed me to meet with students from a university in Temuco, to learn about climate change and sustainability at both universities. These experiences have helped to nurture the skills which allow me to appreciate and include other cultures, practices, ideas, and systems.As a server for Red Door, I am responsible for meeting the needs of my customers while also aiding my fellow servers. I also make sure to keep our workspace clean and well-stocked. While working at Garozzo's as the lead hostess, I was responsible for coordinating and rearranging up to 150 reservations for the night, as well as organizing reservations for the upcoming week. Additionally, I not only interacted with the restaurant’s customers firsthand, I also answered countless phone calls. After working at Beezley Law for nearly two years, my administrative skills only continued to grow at Garozzo’s. During my time at the firm, I honed my organizational skills by working with hard and digital copies of various client files and I also dictated several recordings for the lawyers in office.
