I am accountable for leading and developing the people and culture strategy for the BlueScope Distribution (BSD) Business to support its change and growth initiatives. BSD employs approximately 400 employees, has 16 sites nationally, over $1B in revenue and contributes >13% ROIC to the BlueScope global business. My role sits on the BSD National Lead Team and the People Lead Team for BlueScope Australia. I have a direct team of 5 reporting into me, covering HR Business Partner activities and Change Management activities and support for key transformational projects.

I held the human resources management accountability and responsibility for the Orrcon Steel Business (approximately 700 employees; 30 sites nationally, $650M revenue), occupying a key role on the Orrcon Steel National Lead Team and the BlueScope Australia People Lead Team. In this role, I played a key role in establishing the "new" Orrcon Steel business, which was an acquisition of BlueScope Steel, and had recently undergone a significant restructure and redesign. This involved many integration activities, including establishing the new Orrcon Steel culture, establishing a new HR Team, aligning people and business activities, new systems and processes and new ways of working for almost everyone. I had a team of 6 reporting into me, which covered HR Business Partner activities, project management and developing capability in SAP system utilisation and training.
