As a paralegal at Legal Aid of West Virginia, I support various projects that aim to remove barriers to low-income families and individuals in the state. I work with the statewide program Jobs & Hope, which helps people in recovery access career training and employment opportunities. I also assist the Lawyer in the School program, which provides civil legal assistance to children and families to stabilize their home lives and enhance their education experience.I graduated with an associate's degree in political science and government at Bryan University, where I learned about the principles and practices of public policy and administration. I have a strong background in psychology, having studied clinical psychology at Southern Utah University and psychology at Utah State University. I have developed skills in document drafting, problem solving, and notary services, which I apply in my paralegal role. I am motivated by the mission and values of Legal Aid, and I strive to make a positive difference in the lives of the people I serve.
