Over the years I have taken on various consulting projects to collect and analyze data and write reports on findings from market research projects for clients on a freelance basis.

I once again blended my passion for gaming with my background in marketing while working as Community Manager for Dwellings of Eldervale, a board game that raised over $540K on Kickstarter in July 2019.

In my role at MGM I wore many hats, from providing strategic marketing research for our domestic properties and entertainment entities to developing marketing programs for Bellagio’s rebrand. I’m most proud of the massive overhaul of the hotel guest feedback survey I completed, capturing data from nearly 750K guests per year. I rewrote the entire survey from scratch and worked with partners at Medallia and MGM’s engineering and database teams to design a system that would scale our customer insights collection process with the size of our business.

While at Experian I managed the implementation and day-to-day operations of our proprietary online market research community. I’m particularly proud of the automated call center survey I implemented which sent daily invitation emails to callers to ask for feedback. This new system, spanning 6 call centers on 4 continents, enabled better data collection and performance tracking on customer service, improving training and overall performance.

At Double Fusion I had the opportunity to focus on video game marketing once again, this time through in-game advertising. The most interesting project I worked on there was designing, implementing, and eventually publishing the results of a thought leadership study which delved into gamers' attitudes and reactions to in-game advertising through a combination of personal interviews and eye-tracking technology.

In my next role I took the opportunity to blend my market research experience with my passion for video games. During this time I first worked for GameSpy before it was acquired by IGN Entertainment, which was later acquired by FOX Interactive Media. My greatest accomplishments from my cumulative time there include writing a white paper covering the state of the MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) gaming industry and designing a survey program for MySpace users to improve ad sales targeting.

As a Marketing Media Analyst I used my marketing and data analytics skills to design Excel-based reporting tools to estimate the impact of individual TV ads on overall revenue. I then forecast which ad spots should receive future investment to drive revenue.

In my first role out of college I honed my copy writing skills by writing buying guides for consumer electronics, helping millions of consumers understand the technical terms used in product descriptions.
