About David Bree
I love swim teaching. Hate getting my feet wet. Yes. That is correct. Here is a quick 5 things about me and my work. 1. Breeswim now has a long history on the Gold Coast. Only one of a few top-rated programs on the East Coast offering lessons from babies to adults all year round. 2. When I created Swim Personal back in 2013 it was a side hustle to keep me busy. Fast forward to Covid - We have never been busier. There's an ever-increasing need for more engaging and more skilled teachers to service the ever-growing need for mobile swimming lessons.3. Babyswim Secrets. An online teaching hub to access knowledge, advice, and tutorials. Aimed at families and teachers that want to understand the capabilities of teaching a baby between 0 and 12 months old. Operating a swim school service locally and providing mobile swimming lessons gives me a reach. Online education will give me an opportunity to serve the industry worldwide. 4. My world is my family. I have two young boys, 5 and 2. You never really know what being a parent is going to bring. Being a teacher for so many years and teaching well over 70,000 children my thoughts were - 'I got this..'. Oh little did I know. What a challenge every day brings. I love it. 5. Originally from Northern Ireland we were enrolled in swimming lessons as children. My mother had a near-drowning experience when she was in her early 20s and vowed that if she ever had children they would do swimming lessons. Fast forward many years I find myself running a swim school on the Gold Coast - and I still have the most Irish skin you can find!
