I am a critical, logical and creative thinker and I can be an inspiring and servant leader. I have a no-nonsense and positive approach and an entrepreneurial mindset. In November 2022, I started as Head of Fashion & Branding at Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI), a job that allows me develop further in a managerial role whilst being actively involved in shaping a new generation of fashion professionals. As a teamleader and MT-member, I weigh different interests and perspectives and operate from my values. I value integrity, clarity, autonomy and honesty; I do not mind resistance, but I do mind injustice. With 15 years of experience in independent fashion journalism for established newspapers such as Het Parool and de Volkskrant, I am an effective communicator and trained researcher with a sharp eye, a broad network and in-depth knowledge about the fashion industry. In 2020 I turned my love for journalism and writing into an independent newsletter with curated and analytical content about the logic behind the looks: Modelogica (in Dutch).
