Me, in a series of bullet points:- I can't stand the thought of not understanding a system. I leave no questions unanswered and love the deep dive, exploring and understanding data and data processing. I love seeing how things fit together, working independently to make up the greater whole. I been told that I have a rare ability to understand both the big picture as well as the nitty gritty details.- I care deeply about agile software processes, test-driven development, documentation, and a well-designed set of best practices. I believe in this so strongly, that it has come to the point that I've enforced similar methodologies in most aspects of my life, not just development.- I'm a perfectionist at heart (despite my messy desk). When I write code, I'm passionate about ensuring that I create clean and legible code with as few "I'll clean this bit up later" segments as possible.- Even though my career has always been in technical fields, my formal education was in religious studies, psychology, sociology and literature. I believe that this gives me a unique set of strengths, as it allows me to approach jobs, projects and ideas from the perspective of the human condition rather than just a list of technical requirements.- I was diagnosed with ADHD in my mid 30s. Due to this condition having been undiagnosed (and untreated) through most of my formative years, I have developed a series of coping mechanisms to compensate, which I find allows me to deal well with stress, sudden changes and unpredictability. However, the underlying condition is still something i struggle with daily, trying to find the balance between deep focus and distraction.
