I believe that a renewable energy future involves many facets. I am currently an applied physicist at the Idaho National Laboratory focused on synthesis of epitaxial thin films an heterostructures. Areas of primary interest include superconductivity, magnetism, novel materials, actinides, materials with strong spin-orbit coupling and fabricating structures integrating a these together. When I'm not exploring the growth of new material systems, I'm probably out pedaling my bike up some mountains.
