Specifically I am interested in how groups make the decision to engage in illegal or violent activities for the advancement of their shared goals.Additionally I have an interest in how new technologies, especially communications and social media, affect the political process and group dynamics. And extensive training and field practice in qualitative methodologies.I also do work on course, program and academic unit level design and assessment. I have chaired the University's curriculum committee since 2016 and work closely with program leads in my department and affiliated departments to design course and programs that are responsive to the needs to multiple audiences and which can provide useful assessment data for continual refinement.
