iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower first-generation students from low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions. I am responsible for supporting our teams in each of our 4 regions so that they are running the most impactful regions in their cities and schools. I work closely alongside our Executive Leadership Team, and am a key decision maker in how we execute our program. I am charged with ensuring that our program teams are trained, coached, and managed with excellence so that the 9000+ mentees and mentors in our program each year work together to move students towards their highest post-secondary ambitions.

As Interim Executive Director, I managed our team to exceed all of our fundraising, partnership, and program goals. Under my leadership, we brought in two new six-figure grants and our largest yet individual gift. I retained all of our board and staff members through the transition, and was able to successfully transition a new Executive Director into the role at the end of my tenure.

iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower first-generation students from low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions.As the first regional employee for iMentor Chicago, I had the opportunity to launch iMentor in Chicago. I led the recruitment of our first class of 200+ mentors, recruited a strong fit school partner, hired a program team, and led iMentor Chicago's first year of programming. In my 2 1/2 years in the role, we grew to serve over 1000+ student-mentor pairs at 4 Chicago Public High Schools. Our first cohort of students graduated from high school in June (almost 200 of them!) and we are supporting those student's who are in college, working, or in training programs. I managed a team of 10 Program Managers, who run the program in the schools, and with maintaining and building school partnerships. I used data on a daily basis with my team to manage towards both strong mentor-mentee relationships and completion of post-secondary KPIs and identify appropriate interventions for individual and groups of students. I also supported our Executive Director with fundraising, board management, and team leadership.

Mikva Challenge develops youth to be empowered, informed, and active citizens who will promote a just and equitable society.Over 9 years at Mikva Challenge I led the program team through expansion of our program portfolio, a 5x increase in the size of our team, and growth to almost 100 school partners in Chicago. I set program goals and evaluated success in partnership with our research team, worked closely with our Board of Directors on organizational improvement, and long-term goal setting, and ensured that thousands of students in Chicago had a chance to have their voice heard. Some highlights of my work at Mikva: + Designed a professional development series at Mikva for new and returning staff that included thoughtful onboarding and ongoing PD for every team member in youth development, educational pedagogy, and civic engagement+Hired, managed, and retained excellent staff, the majority of whom stayed at Mikva long term and were promoted to new roles +Managed the writing and updates of new curriculum at the organization, including a year-long civics class and a one-week public speaking unit+Supported Executive Director on all aspects of organizational management, including budgeting and finance tracking, developing HR policies and managing HR issues, support with fundraising (particularly with contracts and grants), and organizational leadership in all capacities+Led programs directly, including managing a classroom based community organizing 101 program, organizing and leading a trip with 35 high school students to the 2008 inauguration, managed the CEO of Chicago Public School's student advisory council, led a summer program where 80 students interned in the offices of local elected officials
