As the Director of Mentorship and Board of Director at LVSF, I lead a non-profit organization along with three of my high school peers dedicated to assisting high school seniors navigate the college application process. Through this non-profit, we offer a mentorship program and additional resources primarily to low-income and first-generation students from the Lower Valley area of El Paso, TX. Since 2020, I have overseen the mentorship program, ensuring effective communication between mentors and mentees to better achieve their academic goals. Our team has supported over 100 students in applying to colleges and scholarships by providing resources like interview preparation, monthly workshops, and newsletters. Additionally, I represent the program at local high schools to recruit new mentees and promote higher education.

Worked under Texas Excellence in Jobs and Service at UT Austin as an undergraduate research intern where I participated in Dr. Chris Law's research. Our project focused on the sexual dimorphism in mustelid jaw morphology. We conducted weekly reviews of current research on sexual dimorphism and used 3D software to visualize specimen models of mustelids. We analyzed data using R Studio to identify trends between key variables. Additionally, I participated in the TEJAS seminar, Professionalism in Research, where we met weekly to discuss our projects and develop our skills as STEM students.
