Otak gathered GIS data from communities and agencies within the Field Offices, collected field data and ran viewshed analyses for approximately 590 miles of road. Over 50 different communities and agencies were contacted and information regarding their visual resource and scenic quality guidelines and standards was collected. The results were captured in a geodatabase and used in a comprehensive • Provided GIS support for a large watershed study which was meant to aid in the development of a plan to address flooding issues. Secondary issues of importance included water quality, fish habitat, and stream and lake assessment. This project required collection and analysis of data from 5 different jurisdictions and the creation of maps for public presentations and figures for technical memorandums.• Developed GIS base maps and report figures which included city topography, land use, critical areas, parcel information, and drainage infrastructure for Comprehensive Stormwater Plans for Woodinville, Marysville and Lake Forest Park.• Involved in a project that conducted a complete inventory of existing signs in the Capitol and Tahuya State Forests using GPS-based technology which was used to create a geodatabase and then mapped in GIS. • GIS and GPS were integrated for the field survey component of this project. A database containing the attributes needed for the shoreline inventory (i.e. outfalls, types of riparian vegetation and physical habitat structures) was collected in the field, then uploaded and converted into GIS format data. Building permit application databases for five local government jurisdictions within the school district were integrated with parcel layers. Student home addresses were geocoded to gain a better understanding of density and movement.
