37 Years with State Farm Insurance with 35 years in the Human Resources Department. During this time I have served as a HR Services Assistant - duties included assisting employees with HR issues, benefits, timecard, HR policy clarity, support HR Representative, and working with business partners to assist them with information for their employees. Over the years, as we transferred from manual processes to computer/online process and then to a dedicated HR Service Department in Corporate, I helped employees to understand how the new processes were being done and why this new department was handling certain transactions. I was the contact person for pulling reports and analyzing information for HR Leadership and our zone which consisted of 5 states. Presently I am assigned to the Enterprise HR Recruiting department as an Assistant-Recruiting, Team Lead in Pre-employment Testing. I handle the pre-employment testing virtual process with external candidates and assist with issues they may incur with this virtual process. In addition to my own high volume work function assignment, I have the responsibility for monitoring work volume for team and communicating with team and leadership to make adjustments and shifts to achieve our Service Level Objectives. At times when our team had a very high workload, I partnered with peer lead worker to provide needed data to support either recommendation on additional hours needed in order for the team to meet established SLO or how to shift the work to meet SLO. As a team lead, I serve as a key resource to peers for guidance when work load is high to assist them in prioritizing their work and to calm the anxiety they may be feeling when work load peaks. I also serve as a key resource to leadership when there are gaps in handling or concerns with work flows and creating new workflows if necessary.
