Directs and oversees government relations for all lines of business in the assigned region of Washington, Oregon and Alaska. Portfolio of work includes developing and maintaining relationships with state lawmakers, regulatory agencies, trade associations, and business clients, and managing outside counsel for effective advocacy. Negotiates legislative, regulatory and public policy positions in adversarial situations on behalf of business.

Served as legislative director, providing leadership to the planning, development and implementation of statewide treasury policy. Lead government relations strategy and lobbying on behalf of the Treasurer and executive management team advising on policy direction, implementation strategy and policy analysis and memoranda. Supervisor of the communications and public relations team including financial education and outreach functions for the office. Provided leadership guidance for the development and implementation of outreach initiatives and media communications.

Developed and implemented the delivery of financial literacy goals and programs. Worked with clients and stakeholders to provide in-person and online seminars on various financial topics. Coordinated and conducted outreach events. Represented the Treasurer on various boards and commissions. Served as a member of OST’s communications team.
