This division took over the management of some 45 properties and recruited a workforce of 350+ employees. Recruited by the growing company as its first Human Resources professional, I began by organizing and establishing a record-keeping system, coordinated the review and annual renewal of employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and LTD coverage, teaming with a broker as necessary. As one of the Trustees on the company 401(K) Plan, I managed the audit process and filing of the Company 5500 as well as a DOL audit. Conducted annual employee education sessions to advise employees of any benefit changes. Updated the Employee Handbook and Policy Manual to maintain compliance and filled the role of Trustee on the company 401K Plan. Additionally, I was responsible for processing payroll using ADP software.Responsible for managing the HR function for many years including complete life-cycle recruitment and hiring through rapid growth modes and occasional lay-offs.
