The Executive Director is the chief executive officer for the Welty Environmental Center (Welty) and is responsible for implementing Welty’s overall strategic direction, leadership, fundraising, fiscal management, staffing, supervision, and administration. Through guidance and approval from the Friends of Welty Environmental Center (FWEC) Board of Directors (Board), Board President, the Executive Committee, and other relevant standing committees, the Executive Director has broad authority to lead and govern the operations of Welty to achieve its mission and strategic goals. Primary responsibilities include strategic and operational leadership, revenue generation and fiscal management, center management and administration, overall human resources oversight and direct supervision and evaluation of director-level staff, community relations and awareness, organizational partnerships, and serving as the primary link between the Board and Welty.
