About Brenda Strohm

I was based at the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit, University of Oxford where I enjoyed a variety of roles. I worked there since 2001 until my retirement at the end of July 2017.My last role prior to retirement was as programme manager for MBRRACE-UK, [https://www.npeu.ox.ac.uk/mbrrace-uk]Mothers and Babies: Reducing Risk through Audits and Confidential Enquiries across the UK.Previously I worked as project manager for a consultation project, exploring the possibility of developing a national database of information related to Child Death Reviews, which are undertaken for all child deaths (age 0 - 18th birthday).Prior to that, I had been working in the field of neonatal clinical trials since 2001, following many years' experience as a neonatal intensive care nurse. As a clinical trial co-ordinator I enjoyed regular contact with clinicians, researchers, study participants and their families.I have experience in developing Patient Information Leaflets and newsletters aimed at both clinicians and participating children and their parents.
