When I first joined PracMed my primary function was to implement credit control procedures and policies, to teach the existing staff how to credit control effectively and to measure productivity. I implemented collection statistics for this purpose. In addition to this, I was responsible for the testing and implementation of new bureau software. At that stage, PracMed had mainly non-credit control General Practitioner practices and a handful of Specialist and Allied Health Professional practices. PracMed was running two software packages, one for the GP market that had no credit control capabilities, and another package that had limited bureau functionality for the Specialist and Allied Health Professional market, our aim to was to incorporate all of our practices onto one software package with credit control as well as bureau capabilities. After successfully implementing our new software package and training our staff we were in a position to grow the Specialist and Allied Health Professional market, which I am proud to say, was a huge success. We currently have in excess of 280 clients. In addition to this our company has grown exponentially from a small business employing around 15 employees, to a business with a current staff compliment of 40. We have since rewritten our bureau software as a cloud based application. Over the past eleven years at PracMed my responsibilities have varied based on the current needs of the business. This also included standing in for the Director (Owner) in the event he was on short or long term leave. This would include such responsibilities as attending to his mail and correspondence, running debit orders for client commissions and other important day to day tasks normally carried out by him.

In addition, it undertakes customization and implementation activities relating to the software.
