Based in Macclesfield, ECHC is an independent registered charity and has been providing high quality long-term residential accommodation for over twenty five years. We aim to offer the most appropriate level of support for our service users at any one time, from long term 24 hour staffed accommodation to short term in smaller houses, individuals flats, or floating support as required. A key advantage of our provision is that with a flexible range of options available, we can move people along a 'pathway' to greater independence as appropriate. The underlying principle is always to offer people a better future, helping them to lead as full a life as possible. Over the last few years, my focus has been on ECHC's consistent growth, expanding our portfolio or properties through my experience in procurement, renovation and business strategy. I also take great satisfaction in leading a dedicated senior management team and am passionate about staff development and training. I'm particularly proud of the way we have adapted to the changing needs of the community, catering not only for a higher number of service users but also offering services we would never have been able to in the past. With a background in management in both the housing and private health sectors, I worked in Area Management for BUPA Care Services for several years before joining ECHC in 2000. I also hold a Diploma in Business Management. I see it as a real privilege to see the difference the work we do at ECHC can make to people's lives on a daily basis.
