Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is a highly-respected global non-profit organization focused on the delivery of better health through information and technology with offices in the United States, Europe and Asia. Staff are engaged in association activities, healthcare research and consulting (HIMSS Analytics) and B2B media group (HIMSS Media).As the Vice President of Human Resources and Facilities, oversaw activities for seven HR and Facilities staff. Designed and implemented employee engagement strategies to improve culture resulting in increased employee communications, enhanced managerial skills and redesigned performance management program. Performed pre-acquisition due diligence for companies and led HR integration of acquired companies and blending of programs.

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) is an agency providing financial oversight, funding, and transit planning for the transit operators (CTA, Metra and Pace) in Northeastern Illinois.As the Director, Human Resources & Administrative Services, led activities for 12 staff responsible for providing HR and Administrative Services (Information Technology, Procurement and Office Services) to 100 employees. Reporting to the President & Executive Director, oversaw all departmental initiatives including compensation and benefits design/administration, talent acquisition and management, employee relations, organizational development, HR compliance, technology planning, procurement practices and office services. Developed hiring process protocol and reduced the ratio of interviews per hire while decreasing the average number of days to fill positions by 50 percent. Led annual health insurance renewal for RTA and Metra redesigning plans to align with benchmarks and reduce overall costs. Designed and implemented HR programs including flexible work arrangements to maintain an attractive culture (e.g., job sharing, PTO bank, summer business casual and ice cream social). Developed information technology policies and procedures to promote information sharing.
