I'm a 15-year resident of York County, SC. Before opening Lakeshore Dental, I worked for many years as a dentist in Mecklenburg County. Recently, I sold my practice and am semi-retired. I am open to checking hygiene, treatment planning, and occasionally filling in when needed. My husband Joe attended UNC-Charlotte and has lived on Lake Wylie for more than 30 years. I grew up in Alleghany County located in the mountains of North Carolina.After receiving my first degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, I worked in the cosmetics industry for Giorgio–Beverly Hills, Estée Lauder Companies, and Belk. While living in Greensboro, I decided to return to school to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist. I attended North Carolina A & T State University for my pre-dental education courses. While at A & T, I was a Dean’s List student all semesters and founded the University’s First Pre-Dental /Pre-Med Education Club.Once again, as a devout Tar Heel fan, I found myself back in Chapel Hill attending one of the country’s most prestigious dental schools. While at UNC, I was a Dean’s List student and served on the admission’s committee as a student interviewer. As was president of Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity. I continually focus on post-graduate education attending numerous continuing education courses focusing on comprehensive cosmetic, reconstructive, and preventive dentistry. These include courses with Clinical Mastery Series, Lee Ann Brady of the Pankey Institute, certified in laser dentistry through The Academy of Laser Dentistry, Certified in Bioclear Matrix use, Dr. David Clark - Bioclear, Frank Spear - Spear Institute, Scottsdale, AZ, Dr. Brenda L. Halsey, DDS lives with her husband Joe on Lake Wylie where they enjoy spending summers on their boat and wake surfing with family and friends. She loves SCUBA diving, and in fact, is a PADI-certified underwater digital photographer. Her other interests include travel and painting.
