CAHEC (Community Affordable Housing Equity Corporation) is one of the nation’s largest regional non-profit equity syndicators covering eleven Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states plus the District of Columbia. As a member of the Finance & Operations Department, we are responsible for managing the finances of CAHEC and its affiliated entities, human resources, information systems, and administrative operations.Specific Finance Specialist duties include general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, benefits administration, and payroll production. Responsible for financial statement production and month-end processing. Included in team projects for enhancing workflow procedures and ERP system integration to improve efficiency. Additional duties include accounting for multiple CAHEC entities, preparing financials for quarterly Board of Directors meetings, upgrades and migrations of existing software systems, and overall accounting and human resources backup for the company.

Jones Insurance is an independent insurance agent for multiple carriers.Assisted in the transition to a new agency management software, Applied Epic. Prepared agency to outsource accounting functions. Produced and managed Cash Flow forecasting tool to aid management decision making. Maintained integrity of general ledger, including chart of accounts, in preparation for new system. Analyzed monthly balance sheet accounts for corporate reporting. Generated financial statements and facilitated account closing procedures each month.

RT1 is a growing national insurance restoration company. Developed and managed internal training protocol for the PSA Project Management software program. Completed data implementation and employee training of newly acquired businesses. Trained new RT1 employees on the company-wide standards for PSA. Acted as RT1 internal contact for PSA Help Desk. Filtered training and support issues for resolution directly with PSA software vendor to reduce company costs for vendor support cases.

CRC provided insurance restoration services in the Southeast. Developed and prepared financial reports for the company’s acquisition by RT1. Accomplished a variety of accounting, software support, and report development tasks. Provided accounting support for CRC controller including monthly bank reconciliations, General Ledger account analysis and journal entry posting, use tax data collection, and various general accounting tasks. Audited monthly entries to Job Cost and closed jobs no longer in progress. Developed and created Crystal Reports for accounting, project management, and general informational purposes. Extracted required data for production of monthly Work in Progress (WIP) calculations. Transition team leader for payroll system move to ADP. Extracted accounting and job cost data for transition to new project management software, PSA.

TBP provides computer hardware, network, and accounting software support to small and mid-sized businesses. Installed, implemented, and support the Sage BusinessWorks (BW) and Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) products. Complete internal bookkeeping tasks as a principal owner of the business. Accounting tasks include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory Control, Sales Order Entry, Payroll, Cash Management, and General Ledger. Provide remote support for existing clients, as needed. Develop workflow and software workarounds tailored to the client’s needs. Train clients to use their software proficiently to reduce their costs for accounting services. Assist clients with financial and management report development.
