Safeguarding personal effects of decedents, maintaining chain of custody, working closely with all agencies concerned with the decedent's death and preparing and submitting reports of death to the Coroner.In Pathology:Assist and learn duties of Forensic Autopsy Technicians and Forensic Pathologists with examinations to determine the cause of death when under the jurisdiction of the Coroner's Office. Assisting in external, in-situ, and gross photography of decedent, medical devices, clothing, personal belongings, and other items as required for documentation. Suturing post-mortem incisions, cleaning body post-autopsy. Fingerprinting decedent for identification purposes and record-keeping. Cleaning and disinfecting the autopsy room, instruments, and equipment after each autopsy. Preparing autopsy room with necessary instruments, equipment, solutions, and containers prior to autopsy. Obtaining tissues and body fluids (blood, urine, vitreous, purge, etc.) for cultures, diagnostic tests and/or preservation as directed. Preparing and recording lab requisitions for transport.Complete any other duties required by the Investigation or Pathology Division of the Coroner's Office.

Teaching chess to students age 5 to 95. From basics to various defenses/offenses, strategies. Helping students enter chess competitions. Supervising tournaments.

Traveling to various schools throughout the Bay Area holding chess class and instruction, Grades K-12. 5-30 students in any given class. Lessons consisted of chess basics to advanced attacks and defenses, according to class skill level. Lecture and interactive lessons, students would play one another utilizing and improving skills, familiarizing with chess clocks and tournament protocol. Students were given homework to complete each week with a chess problem to study, solve, and demonstrate or question outcome in class the following week. Students would be encouraged to participate in tournaments. Teachers would chaperone and in some cases arrange said tournaments.
