About Brendan Bennett

38 Years exclusively dedicated to the Power Industry. Have worked as a High Voltage Electrical Technician, Installation, repair, overhauls and commissioning of large frame mount and aero derivative gas turbines. Have done overhauls, alignments testing repair and reblading of steam turbines. Have worked in the capacity of a Generator Specialist rewinding generators from 35 MW all the way up to nuclear driven four pole hydrogen filled 1,200 MW generators. I have installed tested and commissioned one Frame 7EA and two LM6000 gas turbines and most recently two Seimens GTS 800. I have also been involved in failure analysis of gas turbines and generators.

    I am a Professional Mechanical Engineer with almost thirty years of experience in the power industry. I was employed by General Electric for almost ten years and with them became a gas and steam turbine field engineer. Because of my electrical background I was then accepted into their generator specialist program. In 2008 I incorporated my company and now offer consulting services to the power industry. Recently I have overseen the construction, commissioning and startup of two gas turbine power plants in Northern Alberta Canada. One was the installation of a General Electric Frame 7EA gas turbine and General Electric 7A6 generator. The second I am currently in the final stages of construction of two General Electric LM6000PH gas turbines and Brush generators. Commissioning to commence May of this year.
