This past summer I worked alongside the Radiology Revenue Cycle Manager as a Senior Finance Intern. In this position, I completed numerous quantitative and qualitative analytics projects relating to various radiology procedures. I used intricate Excel shortcuts and formulas such as Vlookups, Pivot tables, etc. to create daily growth reports. I attended monthly meetings with the Radiology staff where we discussed each month’s financials. I created a pricing request tool which is used to give patients a quick and accurate estimate of what their procedure might cost them. I also worked on a summer long project where I designed a business plan from the ground up.

Throughout my time at State Street Corporation, I worked in the screening department as an Operations Processing Analyst. I absorbed insightful knowledge about the financial industry and gained valuable teamwork skills. My primary responsibility was to receive faxes of trade tickets and to determine which type of transaction it was. There were many different types of transactions such as cash (payment, receipt, internal transfer, foreign exchange, and time deposits) or non-cash (buy, sell, tri-party repurchase, etc.). This was a difficult task because often times the format for the trade tickets differed. Depending on what type of trade it was and how much the transaction was for, I had to complete authorization procedures for high-risk money transfers.
