Oversaw state level advocacy engagement across all 50 states for national manufacturing trade association. Led all strategy development, built consensus among large food, household and personal care product manufacturers and directed all state legislative and regulatory execution.

Led enterprise strategy and engagement between the Association and 50 state-based partner organizations. I oversaw the execution of all state partner engagement and business planning to ensure alignment on advocacy, communications, product sales, membership and revenue sharing for the nation's largest foodservice trade association and the nation's largest private sector employer. I developed an engagement model in partnership with state organizations which has led to further cohesiveness and a collective approach to achieve shared success on key strategic initiatives.

Led and executed nationwide advocacy efforts for restaurant/hospitality industry at the state and municipal level. Led the creation and implementation of a national team focused on coordinating state and local engagement. Built consensus between the state chapters and the national chain brands to develop a comprehensive legislative and communication strategy addressing industry threats. Grew capacity and established the Association, state partners and the industry as effective and impactful advocacy presence in states.

I oversaw advocacy and communications strategy for leading 380,000-member hospitality trade organization at the federal level. My role focused on developing and executing public policy and public relations campaigns, leading pro-employer federal issue strategy and serving as business community leader on Capitol Hill. I was effective at building impactful coalitions of corporations, business/trade organizations and allied consultants to deliver meaningful public policy outcomes. My efforts helped grow the organization's impact and reputation, as well as its members engagement on Capitol Hill.

I developed and leveraged Capitol Hill relationships, united industry leaders and built industry consensus to help establish the Association and the industry as a leader in matters before the U.S. House and Senate pertaining to health care, labor/workforce development, immigration, legal reform and food/nutrition issues. I served as primary industry spokesman on public policy issues to national media outlets. I built and led multi-industry advocacy coalitions to achieve public policy outcomes.

Directed the federal and state legislative activities and managed the coalition efforts of member companies and consultant community to serve franchised businesses. I played a leading role in the franchise industry's successful national campaign to protect and promote the franchise business model in 20 state capitals and Capitol Hill. I established new PAC fundraising records while directing the Association's political action committee.

While serving as full-time State House representative, I developed the Association’s first comprehensive government affairs program, created a formal statewide grassroots network/chapters and established a political action committee. I built the Association’s and industry’s political profile in the state and established the industry as a credible economic and political leader across the state.
