Aviation is freedom, one of the many things I have encountered throughout my training at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Throughout my training, many ideals and skills were taught to me, from the simple skills of flying an airplane to professionalism in and out of the cockpit. One skill has always stuck with me as the most important for aviation, safety. Every flight I perform, safety is the most important factor contributing to the flight. The preflight briefing and inspection, the briefings in the cockpit to passengers and crew alike, and the flight itself, all emphasize safety.Aviation has been a passion of mine since I was 5 years old and I have never let that dream leave my sights. Through every check ride and every tough spot I kept the goal ahead of me in sight, a trait I continue to exhibit.One of my greatest joys is sharing my passion with those who are interested, those who are willing to learn. Teaching students is a phenomenal way to share my passion as well as help build the next generation of pilots, a generation that values safety and professionalism without sacrificing the enjoyment that aviation can bring, the freedom that aviation does bring.
