Brendan acts as adviser to organisations that believe in long term value creation, engaging all stakeholders and the power of conscious capital. Current roles include the formation and chairing of Audit and Risk Committees for businesses, including private equity advisers, that demonstrate commitment to strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) impact. In addition he chairs the commercialisation of a European Biomedical innovative solution that solves a major global health challenge. Over many years Brendan has led initiatives that connect stakeholders to the power of responsible long term investing, focusing on metrics that drive tangible outcomes. He is an alumni of The University of Cambridge Business Leadership in Sustainability and INSEAD. Until 31 March 2018 Brendan was a partner within the PwC Financial Services group and acted as senior partner (CEO) for the CI firm from January 2013 to December 2017. Between 2007 and 2012 was Global Investment Management Private Equity leader for the PwC Network, co-ordinating the firm’s strategy to meet the needs of global private equity clients. In the five years up to 2007 he was the European Private Equity Leader. In 2008 he was pivotal in linking the firm's expertise in sustainability with global private equity advisers. Brendan joined PwC Jersey in 1986, appointed Partner in 1995, and has extensive experience in financial services; his clients consisted mainly of private equity and other alternative asset management advisers. Over the past 34 years Brendan has advised on the structuring and management of retail and private equity funds, monitored and anticipated challenges in the alternative funds sector and represented the PwC network on many of its communications with industry bodies.Prior to moving to Jersey in 1986 Brendan had extensive experience of working in the financial services sector in Ireland as well as the technology sector. This included working with various government agencies supporting job creation and capital investment.
