Brendan was engaged as a Contractor by RJE Global and Vault Structures Australia (VSA) to develop and grow the Defence sectors of their business. Brendan's engagement included product development, business development, marketing, bid writing, design management and project management. RJE Global: Brendan diversified their electrical switch room Glass Reinforced Cement (GRC) capability and tailored it to Defence products including Modular Data Centers (MDC), Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), Mission Tactical Operation Centers (MTOCs) and Modular Panel Systems for Zone 4 and Zone 5 areas that achieve acoustic, attack and radio frequency requirements. The Defence sector has now grown into a multimillion-dollar component of its business.VSA:Brendan diversified VSA business and tailored it to the Defence sector introducing Australian manufactured armouries that are South Australian made. Brendan also spent 6 months in UK setting up a partnering agreement between Rhino Systems and VSA to develop oversized blast and ballistic doors in Australia. This led to winning projects in RAAF Williamstown, Larrakeyah Barracks, DSTG Edinburgh and the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILCECHOE).
