About Brendan Sharp

Currently, I am working as a LPCC in Denver, CO where I am pursuing full licensure as a LPC. Also, I am pursuing LAC licensure in the state of Colorado because understanding substance use and how it can impact the mental health of all those we interact with is crucial for providing quality person-centered care.I currently work in community mental health for Community Reach Center supporting clients through a trauma informed, strengths based approach with the aim of empowering clients to work toward a self-defined version of health and wellness both physically and mentally.I graduated in June 2024 with a master's degree from the University of Denver in International Disaster Psychology: Trauma and Global Mental Health with a 3.9 GPA. Also, I graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors from Arizona State University in the summer of 2021, with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in global health. During my time in the clinical psychology program at the University of Denver I gained invaluable experience as a therapist intern for Harvest Therapeutic Services providing individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescent clients. In addition to individual client work at Harvest Therapeutic Services I helped facilitate IOP substance use groups. In addition to the experience listed I am also a PEERS certified provider and a post-master's degree clinician with PEERS Denver where I work with neurodivergent teens and young adults teaching social skills in a group format.I am a personable, determined and communicative person who values transparency and collaboration within a work environment. I value interacting with people on a human level, taking a person-centered approach and I strive to understanding the human experience by appreciating each person's unique and beautiful background.
