Inside Film is a respected print and digital trade publication focused on the inner workings of the film and television industries.I managed all aspects of the editorial and production process, leading a team of in-house journalists and commissioning external contributors.Key Achievements• Led an overhaul of the if.com.au website, which resulted in the number of unique visitors increasing by more than 50% and page views by more than 40%.• Helped drive a lift in the number of paid print subscribers by more than 20% due to a combination of better quality content, a print re-design, and shifting to a bi-monthly publishing schedule. This was a strong result following the Global Financial Crisis and a structural market shift from print to digital.• Oversaw the content and distribution of three eDM newsletters each week, including measuring and analysing their impact through Google Analytics.• Represented the magazine at major industry events such as the IF Awards, the Screen Producers Association of Australia conference, and the NAB Show.

The AFR has been Australia’s pre-eminent national newspaper for business, finance and investment news for more than 65 years.I wrote daily news, features and commentary, focusing on superannuation, funds management, banking, insurance, financial planning, regulation, corporate governance and payment systems. My role required a high level of industry insight, commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement, including regularly interviewing C-suite executives, CEOs and board members. Key achievements• Produced more than 70 page one articles (the primary performance metric for newspaper staff at the AFR). • Regularly acted as weekend editor for the financial services section. This involved planning news and features coverage, page layout, as well as managing staff contributions and collaborating with the weekend sub-editor.• Frequently contributed news, analysis and features to other sections of the newspaper (National, Business, Perspective, Markets, Portfolio and Smart Money) and other Fairfax publications (BRW, MIS and Asset magazines).

AAP is Australia’s independent national newswire and has been delivering accurate, reliable and fast news content to the media industry, government and corporate sector for 85 years. • Produced multiple daily news articles under extreme time pressure covering Australia’s top companies and their profit results, annual general meetings, and other announcements, along with share market updates in print and video media.• This content was published by The Daily Telegraph, The Herald Sun, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Canberra Times, The Courier-Mail and other media outlets.

• Investment & Technology magazine (later renamed Investment magazine) – Deputy Editor. I oversaw the magazine’s production process shortly after its launch and produced content about the institutional investment industry including superannuation, asset management and consulting, funds management, private equity and risk management.• Investor Weekly magazine – Journalist. I wrote news, features and cover stories about the superannuation and funds management industry. I also worked for other related publications including the retail-focused IFA magazine and the InvestorDaily.com website.
