As a reporter, translator, photographer and eventually English editor for this small local press in Bethlehem, I used both Arabic and English in interviews and in the office.

At the Botswana chapter of the Media Institute of Southern Africa, I helped coordinate a campaign to fight censorship under the name "Bua!" (Setswana for "speak"). I set up and maintained a blog for the campaign, which is still in progress a year later, and I spoke at a panel discussion of media professionals on government interference and censorship in.

I copyedited stories for this English-language daily in Kathmandu and occasionally did reporting and photography work. I attended the press conference of the last king of Nepal, Gyanendra Shah, as well as the inauguration of the country's first president, photographing both events.
