I grew up in a time when personal computers were still a luxury item for most homes and schools in Canada, but also witnessed the complete shift in computer affordability for the masses in my teenage years. At the age of 15 I got my first computer, and my school got a computer lab geared towards Media Design. Needless to say, it was a life changing moment. From that day forward I had a new way to look at the world; every new piece of software was a window of discovery for me.Soon after my dive into internet and software culture I wanted to do more. I wanted to help shape the software I loved using, and be an active member in the community's surrounding the software I used daily. Making bug reports and testing new features was an incredibly rewarding experience for me that I took part in as often as I could. I needed to know how everything worked, and how I could break it. By the time I turned 16 I was unknowingly training myself for what would be my future career in Quality Assurance.I'm passionate about Quality Assurance, which is a rare thing in this world; at least that's what my peers tell me! I'm thrilled to still be doing something I did for fun when I first got a computer.I have a job that I absolutely love; and when you truly love the work you do, it's not just a job anymore, it's a career.
