Developed research provision for students with a range of SEN/ALN including SEMH, ADHD and Autism. I created and design both the environment and individualised curriculum to improve outcomes identified in conjunction with internal and external agencies with the individual child at the heart of the decision making process. Collaborating with the Bluebird unit (specialising in ASC) I was able to work on a project based approach to delivering a broad and balanced school experience utilising student's topics of interest to increase engagement and progress. I also developed Google Classrooms and online learning to enable learning to continue where students are unable to be onsite. I found that for many students online learning can be extremely effective. I developed my theoretical and applied knowledge of online and technological supports to promote independence in learning and increasing levels of academic and social progress.

Through my collaboration with SEN Recruitment I was able to spend time teaching in a number of roles in SEN schools throughout the North West. The roles enabled me to explore best practice in SEMH, PMLD and Autism sectors as a classroom teacher, form tutor and outdoor education practitioner including forest schools. I also had the opportunity to develop my interest in using a range of art and music based activities to enable students to develop positive experiences within a school setting.

Oakview Hospital - East Anglia is an independent hospital near Norwich which provides assessment,treatment and rehabilitation for young people aged between 12 and 18 years. Young People coming to Oakview Hospital-East Anglia may be detained under the mental health act and will present with a wide range of complex psychiatric, emotional and behavioural disorders with challenging behaviour.

Over the course of my time at Heathfield I was able to an integral part of a brand new school from its first entrants to CIS accreditation and development of Secondary provision. The school was unique in that it was inclusive and encouraged applications form students with a range of SEN. My flexible and creative approach to problem solving enabled me to drive change and development across the whole school and lead the schools successful application for CIS accreditation.
