[My Experiences] I've had a wonderfully varied career spanning multiple sectors, from time in the classroom as a public school teacher to a near decade-long career at Google, significant time spent on political campaigns, and now diving deeply into non-profit leadership, U.S. K-12 education across district/state/federal levels, the science of happiness and well-being, and the intersection of foster care and education as I pursue my doctorate in education at Harvard. I bring an expansive and holistic view of organizations and systemic issues, and find that I can usually pivot into any environment quite nicely.[My Skills] I solve complex and large-scale problems by scoping, creating, and running strategic initiatives internally within organizations and externally across different sectors. I have a knack for managing teams and projects of all sizes, and I love working cross-functionally to get things done. Attention to detail, crafting creative solutions while managing constraints, and infusing integrity into my work are all central to my approach. And most days, I do it with a gigantic smile on my face![What I’m Looking For] I am incredibly passionate about K-12 education, transformation in child welfare, racial equity and inclusion, and finding innovative solutions to systemic problems that impact people across the country. I’m most comfortable in working environments that are fast-paced, have a lot of opportunity to make impact, and contribute to social good.[Why Me] I dream big and I work hard. My colleagues describe me as determined, dynamic, and energetic. I want to make life better for students, families, and communities, and I believe I can contribute to efforts that aim to innovate, rethink, and change systems so all people can thrive.
